ArtStation portfolio vs. personal site, I switched after one client call
I used to think ArtStation was the only place serious clients looked, but after a call last month where a studio lead said my portfolio got lost in the feed, I finally built my own site with a simple WordPress theme. The difference was wild, I could control the order, add process sketches, and even show a broken piece I fixed. That call ended with a contract for $800, and they specifically mentioned liking the personal touch. Has anyone else moved off the big platforms for their main showcase?
