My buddy's fan theory about time travel loopholes ruined game night...
We were playing that new board game set in the Cygnus Reach universe, and my friend Jake dropped this wild idea about how the time dilation rules could be hacked. He went into detail, using napkins to draw diagrams, and it totally killed the vibe. Half the table thought it was cool and made the game deeper, but the other half just wanted to play without a physics lesson. I was stuck in the middle, trying to keep peace while snacks went cold. It got so awkward when Sarah said his theory broke canon from the books, and Jake fired back about author intent. Now we're divided on whether to let deep lore debates happen when we play or keep it light. What do you guys think? Should fan theories be part of game night or saved for after?
