DAE see all the new cameras and wonder if safety is just the cover story?
My town just installed a bunch of surveillance cameras on main roads and in public spots. On one hand, the city says it's to cut down on crime and help in emergencies. On the other hand, I've heard people say it's a slow move towards total watch, where every move is logged. Like, the grocery store parking lot got three new ones last month, and now some folks avoid it. I'm stuck between liking the idea of safer streets and fretting over who gets to see all that video. What's your take on this push for more cameras everywhere?
