Vent: I used a heat gun to flatten a stubborn vinyl plank in a 100-year-old house and it actually worked.
The plank near the fireplace in this old Denver bungalow just wouldn't lock down, so I hit it with the heat gun for about 30 seconds on low and it finally clicked into place, has anyone else tried something weird that fixed a problem?

Nice! I once used a hair dryer to fix a sticky door in my apartment. The old wood had swollen up and the heat actually made it shrink back down. What's the weirdest tool you've used for a fix?

Yeah heat guns are clutch for that. I had a warped board in my kitchen and a quick blast on medium made it flexible enough to tap in with a rubber mallet. Works way better than forcing it cold.
