Vent: Had a whole pallet of engineered wood show up with the wrong locking profile in Charlotte

I was starting a 1200 sq ft job in a new build over in the Ballantyne area. Opened the first boxes to find the boards had a 5G locking system instead of the 2G click we quoted for. The homeowner was already on site expecting us to start. I called the supplier, but they said the correct stock was 3 weeks out. Ended up hand-scraping every single edge with a laminate trimmer to make them fit together, added a full day to the install. Anyone ever had to modify a locking system on the fly like that? What's your backup plan when the material is just plain wrong?

Yeah, @robin_henderson81 gets it. I've totally been there with a router.

Maybe it's just me but I've never had luck with that fix, alexc93. I always end up having to call someone.

My backup is always to carry a few boxes of a universal locking system for exactly this kind of emergency.
