Just hit 1,000 square feet of LVP in a single day by myself

I was laying down this rigid core stuff in a big open condo downtown, no transitions, just a clean rectangle. I started at 6 AM, had my jigsaw and tapping block ready, and just got into a rhythm. I didn't even stop for lunch, just kept clicking and locking. When I cleaned up and did the math, it was over a grand. I've been doing this for 15 years and always thought 700 was a solid, hard day. This stuff just flies if the subfloor is perfect and you don't have to mess around. Makes me wonder if I've been too slow on other jobs. What's the most square footage you guys have ever put down in one shift on a straightforward install?

Forget the numbers, just chase that perfect subfloor. A good prep day is what lets you fly like that. Sounds like you finally had the dream setup.

Buddy of mine, runs his own crew, told me he did 1,200 feet of a click-lock laminate in a brand new house once. Subfloor was like glass, not a single hump or dip, and the layout was just one giant L-shaped living/dining room. He said he started at sunup with two spare blades and a full thermos, didn't even break for coffee until he hit the 800 mark. Later he found out the homeowner had paid for a level crew to come in and pour self-leveler three days before he showed up. He still brings that job up like it was a boxing match he won.
