Just counted 17,000 square feet of LVP I laid last year

I was doing my taxes and added up all my invoices. It came out to over 17,000 square feet of luxury vinyl plank in 2023, mostly in new builds over in the Westridge subdivision. That number hit me because three years ago I was barely doing 8,000. It really shows how much that product has taken over around here. Anyone else see their LVP work jump that much recently?

My brother-in-law is a contractor and he says he's basically a vinyl plank salesman now. He jokes that his tile saw is collecting dust in the garage. The switch has been crazy fast around here too.

Yeah, a friend's tile guy just switched to only installing LVP last month.

Guess that fancy tile saw is now just a really expensive paperweight. The speed of this change is wild, like everyone woke up one day and decided wood-look plastic was the only floor that exists. Pretty soon they'll be teaching LVP installation in home ec class instead of sewing.
