A lady in a fancy house asked me to match her floor to her cat
I was laying down some new hardwood in a big place over in Scottsdale last year. The owner came in, pointed at her gray Persian cat, and said 'I need the stain to be this exact shade of fluff.' She held the cat up to a sample board for a full five minutes. I had to explain that wood and fur don't really work the same way with color. Has anyone else gotten a request that was just... impossible?

Did she ever accept that the color couldn't be matched, or did you have to find some kind of creative solution to make her happy with the final floor?
