Why does nobody talk about the stat that 60% of event attendees decide to buy within the first 15 minutes of a demo?
I found this in a 2023 event marketing report from Bizzabo and it makes me wonder if we're all over-investing in late-stage follow-ups when the real decision happens before the coffee cools, anyone else rethink their booth strategy after seeing that?

My booth game is apparently built around giving folks time to second-guess themselves. Sixty percent decide in the first fifteen minutes? That explains why I spend the other eighty percent of the show handing out stress balls to people who are just waiting for the bathroom to open up. I need to ditch the slow-burn demo script and just start with the price tag and a smile. Maybe throw in a free pen right at the ten-minute mark to seal the deal before they wander off to compare bumper stickers.

Huh. That stat is wild. I remember doing a booth at a small software conference back in 2019. Had this guy walk up, looked at our demo for maybe ten seconds, then pulled out his credit card. Didn't even ask a single question. My partner was still fiddling with the laptop. Weirdest sale I ever made.
