Warning: Blew $3,000 on a custom trade show booth that never arrived on time
Paid a company in Chicago to build a 10x10 booth with custom graphics for a show in Orlando last month. It showed up the day after the event ended. Has anyone else had luck getting a refund from a vendor that missed a deadline?

Check your credit card's purchase protection policy, that saved me once.

Bless your heart for thinking I actually read those fine print credit card policies before buying stuff. I barely check the price tag half the time, let alone scroll through a 50 page document about "purchase protection." That's like asking me to read the terms and conditions on a free trial, we both know that's not happening. I'll just keep crossing my fingers and hoping my impulse purchases work out, that's way easier.
