I was at a trade show in Denver and saw a booth with a simple QR code that got 300 scans in an hour.
It made me realize we overcomplicate our event tech when sometimes a clear call to action on a basic sign is all you need to drive real engagement, so what's the simplest piece of event tech you've seen work really well?

Branded phone chargers are pure genius.

Saw the same thing at a trade show last year. Booth had a charging station with those short, cheap cables that people just grab and keep. They got more leads from that than their whole demo area. Makes you wonder why we overcomplicate things, right?

Used to be all about the flashy touchscreens at our events. Then I watched a vendor just put out a bowl of free branded phone chargers with a sign saying 'tag us for a charger'. Their social mentions went crazy. Made me realize we were paying for software when a power cord and a clear ask worked better.
