Feedback about my banner placement changed my booth traffic overnight

At a trade show in Cleveland last spring, a vendor told me my banner was too high and people couldn't read it from a distance. I dropped it down to eye level about 5 feet off the ground and my foot traffic went up by at least 30% that same day. Has anyone else gotten a simple tweak from a attendee that made a huge difference?

Did you notice any difference in how long people actually stopped to read your booth materials after that change? Lowering a banner that much probably made them feel like they could actually stop and engage without craning their neck.

Wait, you're saying a random person just walked up and critiqued your banner height and you actually changed it right then and there? That's wild to me. Most people would just nod and forget about it, but you acted on that feedback in the middle of a show. I gotta admit, that takes guts to just pivot like that on the fly. And 30% more foot traffic from just moving a sign down? Man, that's the kind of stuff they don't teach you in any marketing class.
