Blew $500 on a fancy event app that nobody used
I shelled out for that premium networking app for our conference last spring thinking it would be a hit, but only like 12 people out of 300 actually downloaded it. Anyone else have better luck with a simpler free tool or did I just pick the wrong audience?

omg same thing happened with my basketball league's app last season. 50 people in the league and maybe 5 people ever opened it, what a waste. i just use a free facebook group now and it works way better.

The funny thing is those league apps are basically just a calendar with extra steps. Facebook groups already do the same thing without making everyone download another thing they'll forget about in a week.
