Spent 6 hours trying to fix a brush lag in Clip Studio Paint

I was working on a character piece last week and the brush lag was driving me crazy. Every stroke had this half second delay that made it impossible to get clean lines. I tried updating drivers, changing canvas size, even reinstalled the program once. After 6 hours of messing with settings I found out it was just a weird preference toggle for stabilizer smoothing that I accidentally turned up to max. Has anyone else had a simple setting screw up their whole workflow like that?

Used to think I had all the important settings memorized but nope, always something dumb hiding in a submenu. Definitely been humbled by a slider I didn't even know existed before.
