Spent 45 minutes fixing a layer issue that was just a flipped canvas
I was trying to blend a shadow on this portrait for almost an hour and kept getting jagged edges everywhere. Turns out I had accidentally flipped the canvas horizontally and my brush strokes were mapping to the wrong side the whole time. Has anyone else spent way too long on a problem that was just one dumb setting?

Did you see that FZD School video where they talked about flipping the canvas constantly to avoid this exact trap?

Gotta disagree a bit. Flipping the canvas is actually a good habit to catch stuff you miss. Sounds like the real issue was not noticing it flipped before you started painting.
