Spent 4 hours trying to fix a layer shift that was one setting away

Was printing a big landscape piece on my Ender 3 last night and the layers kept shifting around hour 6. Checked belts, tightened the frame, even swapped the stepper driver. Turns out I had acceleration set to 2500 mm/s in Cura instead of 500. Has anyone else chased a hardware fix when it was just a dumb software number?

At least it wasn't the classic loose grub screw on the extruder gear.
