Saw a digital artist in Seoul demo live on a 3D tablet and realized I'm wasting time with layers
At the Dongdaemun design plaza last month, an artist whipped out a full cityscape in 20 minutes using tilt controls while I'm still masking layer 37, so does anyone actually prefer flat tablets over these 3D screens for speed?

I mean, I used to be one of those people who would swear by flat tablets and thought 3D screens were just a gimmick. But then I saw someone demo one at a convention last year and it totally changed my mind. The cityscape in 20 minutes thing you mentioned is exactly what I saw, this artist was just twisting the screen and everything snapped into perspective without any guesswork. I spent like an hour on a single building in my own piece that night and felt honestly embarrassed. Idk, for speed it's just not even a competition, the 3D screens let you skip so much of the trial and error. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather finish three pieces in a session than stress over layers for one.

Do you think part of it is that flat screens have been the standard for so long that we're just used to doing all that guesswork, so we don't even realize how much time we're wasting until we see the alternative in action? I feel like the real shift is more mental than technical, like unlearning all those workarounds we built up.
