Rant: I was dead wrong about AI-generated art backgrounds
I used to roll my eyes at anyone using AI for backgrounds in their digital paintings. Figured it was cheating (you know, lazy shortcut stuff). Then I tried it myself on a piece for a local gallery show in Austin, and man, the time I saved let me focus on the character details way more. The background actually looked better than my hand-painted ones too, which stung a bit. Anyone else have a similar flip-flop on a tool they swore they'd never touch?

Better looking than hand-painted" is the part that stings, yeah.

Oh man, I totally get that. That one really had to hurt, especially when you know the time and effort that goes into hand-painted stuff.
