PSA: Overheard a gallery owner say 'the art is the easy part' at a show in Seattle
I mean, it made me realize I spend 90% of my time just trying to get my portfolio site to look right. Anyone else feel like the tech side eats up all your creative energy?

Ugh, tell me about it. I just spent three hours fighting with a stupid contact form.

Actually those contact forms are the easy part. I built one for my cousin's bakery site last month and it took maybe 45 minutes. The real fight is getting people to actually fill the thing out once it's working. Most of the time the problem is the person, not the code. You just need to follow the instructions and use simple, plain text.
