Noticed that my digital paintings lose sharpness on some websites

Saving them as PNG files instead of JPEG keeps the edges crisp.

Ever check if the size you see online is the same as your file's size? Sites can mess with both dimensions and compression no matter what you send.

Are you sure it's just the file format? Websites often shrink images no matter what you upload. I had a PNG go fuzzy because the site changed its size automatically. Try making your pictures the exact pixel size the site needs first. A good quality JPEG with less compression can stay pretty sharp too. Why blame the format when the website might be the real problem?
