Lost three weeks of work when my drawing tablet driver crashed mid-project
I was about 60 hours into a big illustration for a client in Portland when my tablet just stopped responding. The screen froze and the pen cursor was stuck in the corner of my display. I tried restarting the driver like I always do but nothing worked. After an hour of panic I found out a Windows update had broken the driver completely. I had to uninstall everything and roll back the update which took another two hours. By the time I got back in, my brush settings and custom palettes were all wiped because the driver reset to defaults. I didn't make my Tuesday deadline and the client had to wait until Thursday. Has anyone else had their tablet driver just nuke their workspace like that?

Honestly, did you try using your keyboard shortcuts to save your workspace presets before the driver went nuts? I had a similar scare with my old Intuos where I lost all my custom hotkeys and it took me a whole day to rebuild them. Now I just screenshot my settings page and keep it on my phone just in case.

Counterpoint, @john_cooper: backing up presets just encourages sloppy driver habits.
