Had to pick between a 4K screen or a tablet with a better pen for my new setup
Chose the tablet, but now my old monitor makes my finished pieces look totally different when I post them. Anyone else get burned by display mismatch like that?

Calibration's a band-aid, not a fix.

Hold up, isn't a band-aid still a fix until you find a better one? Calibration gets you 90% of the way there in most real world situations, especially if you're just doing regular office work or watching videos. Not everyone's a pro photographer or graphic designer where color matching has to be perfect down to the last pixel. If your screens look close enough that you don't notice a difference while scrolling, that's a win in my book. Plus, calibration is free and quick, while buying a whole new monitor or a colorimeter costs real money that most people don't want to spend. So yeah, call it a band-aid if you want, but sometimes a band-aid gets the job done fine.
