Does sharing WIP sketches build hype or kill the final reveal? I'm torn.

I posted a rough concept for a forest spirit piece on a forum last month, and one user said 'stop showing the scaffolding, let the painting breathe.' But another told me they loved seeing the process because it made the final piece feel like a shared journey. Which side do you fall on when you're showcasing your digital art?

Oh come on... it's really not that serious though is it? I mean worst case someone says something's off and you just fix it later. That's literally the whole point of calling it a work in progress. It's not like you're unveiling a statue in the town square.

Man idk if I'm there yet. @brian_rivera59 you're telling me you actually enjoy the feeling of posting some half baked thing and waiting for people to tear it apart? I still get that knot in my stomach every time I hit share like I'm back in high school turning in a rough draft for the teacher to grade.
