Beware of those 'premium' digital art brushes packs on Etsy

I dropped $45 on a brush pack that claimed to have 300+ custom textures for Procreate. Turned out 80% of them were just free brushes from Gumroad that someone repackaged and resold. The file organization was terrible too, like a toddler named the folders "brushes1" and "more brushes." I spent a whole Saturday trying to sort through them before I gave up and asked for a refund. The seller ghosted me after I filed a dispute with PayPal. Has anyone else gotten burned by these so-called "pro" brush bundles?

Oh man, that's rough. I fell for the same kinda thing with a "watercolor master pack" that had like 500 brushes. Probably 400 of them were just different sizes of the same basic smudge tool, it was a joke. The worst part is the claims they make in the description, saying professional illustrators use this stuff, and then you realize it's just a bunch of noise patterns and grain overlays. I got a refund through PayPal too, but it took like two weeks and a bunch of back and forth screenshots.

Yeah exactly, they pad the brush count with garbage. The "professional illustrators use this" bit always gets me too, like who exactly are these pros? Probably the same guys selling the pack. But I gotta say, you're being generous with that 400 number. I counted once out of boredom and it was closer to 450 useless ones in a 500 brush pack. The refund process is a pain, PayPal wants a novel of evidence for a fifteen dollar pack.
