Appreciation post: A comment about my color palette being 'muddy' finally clicked after I saw it on a different screen.
Someone on here said my stuff looked like it was filtered through coffee, so I borrowed my buddy's calibrated monitor. Has anyone else had a piece look totally different on another device?

Honestly a calibrated monitor sounds like overkill. My phone makes everything look way more blue than it really is. It's a constant battle.

Ugh, that blue phone screen is the worst. I tried editing photos on mine once and everything looked like a sad hospital waiting room. Calibration isn't just for pros, it's for anyone who wants colors to look right. Why spend all that time on something if the colors are a lie?

Seriously, the blue tint is a nightmare. I grabbed a cheap colorimeter and it made a HUGE difference, even on my old laptop. @john_cooper, it's not overkill at all once you see how wrong your screen was. You can even just use the built-in settings to warm things up a bit.
