Trying to find the original source for that 'government weather control' video cost me three days
I saw a clip on a forum about some old project where the government was supposedly messing with the weather. I wanted to see the full thing to check the facts, but the link was dead. I spent three whole days digging through old video sites and weird blogs trying to find it. It turned out it was just a cut-up piece from a public science documentary from 1998. Has anyone else wasted time chasing down a 'source' that was totally fake?

Maybe it's just me but I wonder if @seanlee is thinking of that one about the guy who faked his own disappearance and lived in the woods for years, the title is slipping my mind right now.
