That $200 "ghost detector" app drained my phone and my sanity in Atlanta
I paid 200 bucks over 3 months for this paranormal investigation app that promised to measure energy fields and alert me to spirits. Turns out it was just using my phone's magnetometer and GPS to generate random buzzes, and my data got sold to a marketing firm. I took it to a meetup of paranormal enthusiasts in Atlanta and one guy showed me how the readings were literally identical to my commute pattern on the bus. Total scam, and it killed my battery so bad I missed two important calls. Has anyone else gotten burned by these fake ghost hunting gadgets, or know a legit free alternative that actually works?

Did the guy actually prove it, or was that just his own theory?
