Spent $340 on a 'truth serum' course, total snake oil

I bought this online course from a guy in Phoenix who promised to teach you how to spot fake news and hidden agendas. After 6 weeks of filler about 'vibrations' and 'energy leaks', I realized I could've just read the actual source documents myself. Has anyone else fallen for these self-proclaimed media analysts with slick websites and zero credentials?

You ever notice how these guys always have a podcast too? My friend Karen dropped $500 on one of those “critical thinking” courses. The guy made her do breathing exercises to “clear the mental fog.” She showed me the workbook, it was just motivational quotes with stock photos of mountains. Now she argues with her sister about whether birds are real. Not kidding.

Ha! The podcast is like the gateway drug to the scam. But here's the thing nobody mentions, the real money is probably in the "private community" they sell after the course, where you pay monthly just to feel like you're still in the club. Karen's probably paying $40 a month for a Discord server where the guy posts a daily quote and a link to his merch.
