Put $500 into a 'proven' underground bunker scheme and got ghosted
Last spring I found this guy on a forum who sold plans for a DIY bunker that was supposedly EMP-proof and hidden from satellite view. Sent him $500 through PayPal for the blueprints and a materials list. After two weeks of no delivery, I started messaging him and he kept saying 'next week for sure.' By month three his account was deleted and PayPal wouldn't refund since it was past 180 days. Has anyone else run into these fake prepper gurus selling plans that never show up?

Scam prep sellers are everywhere now and they know preppers are an easy mark. Always reverse image search their bunker photos and demand a verified build log with real timestamps before sending money. Never send more than $50 to an internet rando even if their sales pitch sounds solid.

Read somewhere that these scams are getting super common now, preppers are easy targets because we're desperate for security. Sorry you got burned, hope you can warn others before they lose their cash too.

That's a solid point about the bunker photos, but what about the gear photos too? I've seen guys selling "military surplus" that's just cheap Chinese knockoffs with a filter on them. Did you ever find out if the sellers had a real physical address or if they were just bouncing between burner accounts?
