My buddy spent 3 years building a bunker and then realized he forgot to plan for air vents

Last month he finally finished digging it out behind his house in Des Moines, sealed it up all nice, and then passed out after 20 minutes from low oxygen, so now he's got a $4,000 hole in the ground that doubles as a sauna if you run the generator nearby.

OH man that is PRICELESS. Your buddy spent all that time and cash to build himself a fancy coffin. Honestly a $4,000 hole that doubles as a sauna is still a pretty solid deal if you think about it. Just tell him to crack the lid open a little bit next time and bring a box fan, that should fix the whole oxygen problem for like 20 bucks.

I gotta push back on calling it "a fancy coffin." That's pretty harsh. This guy put in real work and money trying to prepare for something serious. Most people don't even think about prepping at all. Yeah he messed up the air vents, but that's a fixable mistake, not some joke. A few hundred bucks for a proper ventilation system and he's good to go. Calling it a coffin just makes light of something that takes a lot of effort. I'd rather have a buddy who tries and screws up than one who does nothing.
