I just saw a thing on Reddit about how scammers are using fake emergency alerts to trick people into clicking links. Sounds like that guy in Montana knows his stuff.

Yeah those fake alerts are getting really sneaky, I almost fell for one last month that looked like it came from my local power company. The thing to remember is real emergency alerts never ask you to click a link they just tell you to take shelter or whatever. I always tell people to just close out the notification and go directly to the official website if they're worried, don't trust the link in the text itself even if it looks legit. And definitely don't call back any numbers listed in the message either, scammers will pick up pretending to be customer service.
