I spent 2 years arguing that the moon landing was fake, then I found a 1970s NASA manual at a garage sale in Phoenix.

See this all the time with old tech manuals. People forget how much real, physical stuff we used to make.

Real, physical stuff" is right. I bet that manual weighs like five pounds and smells like stale coffee and regret. Two years down the drain because of a garage sale in Phoenix, that's honestly perfect. The universe just dropped the most boring possible proof right in their lap. At least they didn't find it online, that would have been way less funny.

My uncle had a whole box of those old Apollo program schematics in his basement. I used to help him sort through them as a kid, and the paper had this weird waxy feel to it. Seeing all those hand-drawn circuit diagrams and stress test reports... it just made the idea of faking it seem way too complicated.
