Hit 10,000 subscribers and immediately lost 200 of them

I spent the last 14 months debunking that Denver airport conspiracy stuff, and when I finally crossed 10,000 subscribers yesterday, I got a huge spike in hate comments from the true believers. Then I checked my stats this morning and saw 200 people unsubscribed in the same 24 hours, which felt like getting punched in the gut. Is that normal for this community, or am I doing something wrong with how I call out the fake lizard people claims?
