Finally cracked that weird noise in my car after 4 months of guessing

I drive a 2014 Honda Civic and there was this rattle that only happened when I hit 45 mph on the highway. Took it to two different mechanics who both shrugged and said it's probably fine. I spent hours on forums and YouTube watching people chase phantom noises. Then last week I was swapping out my cabin air filter and noticed the plastic cover was just sitting loose on the passenger side. Turned out a clip had snapped off and the whole panel was vibrating against the metal frame at that specific speed. I jammed a piece of rubber under it and the noise just stopped. Has anyone else found a fix for a car issue that was way simpler than everyone made it seem?

Oh man, the loose clip thing is a classic. Once you find one problem you start noticing them everywhere. My buddy's old Ford Focus had this terrible buzzing at 70 mph that drove him nuts for months. Turned out it was a freaking loose bolt in the sun visor. He spent hundreds on new tires thinking it was road noise. Now he literally tapes everything down in his car with velcro strips. I swear half of car problems are just random stuff shifting around from road vibrations. The rubber wedge trick is genius though, I'm stealing that for my own rattle collection.

Man I don't know, is it really that deep though? Like yeah rattles are annoying but spending hundreds on tires before checking a sun visor seems like a stretch. I mean most people would hear a buzzing and immediately start poking around the dash or the roof liner before going to a mechanic. Maybe it's just me but I feel like half the time these car problems get blown way out of proportion online. A little rattle here and there is just part of owning a car, it's not the end of the world. Velcro strips everywhere sounds like overkill honestly, just turn up the radio and move on with your life.
