Talked to a bootcamp grad who told me I'm overcomplicating my learning path

She said I've been studying data structures for 3 months without writing any real code... made me realize I'm stuck in tutorial hell. Anybody else hit that wall with just theory?

Does that mean you haven't built anything yet? Three months of data structures sounds rough, I know people who crammed that stuff in a week and just started coding.

Totally agree, jana119 nailed it. That's exactly how I learned, just built a dumb weather app first and figured stuff out as I went. Three months of data structures before touching actual code sounds like overthinking it, you'll learn way more from breaking things and fixing them.

Cramming works if you already know how to think through code. @wilson.kelly just start building small things. Even a todo list app will teach you more than another week of theory.
