Spent 6 hours debugging a missing semicolon in JavaScript yesterday

I was building a simple calculator for a course project and couldn't figure out why the equal button did nothing. Turns out I forgot one semicolon on line 47 that broke the whole event listener. Anyone else get tripped up by something this small?

I used to roll my eyes at people complaining about missing braces, then I spent two hours tracking down one missing semicolon in a React project and yeah, I get it now.

You said it's like an hour of your life gone, but c'mon, two whole hours? That's just a Tuesday for anyone who's ever tried to debug CSS. I'd say half the time it's not even the semicolon, it's just the universe testing your patience.
