Reflecting on my automated plant watering system built with beginner-level code.

Years ago, home automation felt like science fiction reserved for tech wizards. I recently set up a Raspberry Pi to water my herbs based on soil moisture, using basic Python. The amount of free resources for new coders today is mind-blowing compared to digging through manuals back then. This little project turned a chore into a fun learning experience. It's cool how coding has become a gateway to personalizing your space.

Remember my buddy who tried something similar? He got so excited about automating his tomatoes that he accidentally created a swamp in his kitchen for a week. What herbs are you growing with your setup?

Basil and mint thrived in my automated setup last summer!

It's wild how we're all trying to tech-ify even our herbs now, but half the time it's a comedy of errors lol. Makes you wonder if we're overcomplicating simple joys like gardening.

Add thyme and oregano to @henry_allen62's thriving basil and mint.
