My first while loop made my laptop fan sound like a jet taking off

I spent a whole evening in 2021 debugging a script that just kept printing 'hi' forever because I forgot to increment the counter, and my roommate thought I was hosting a gaming tournament. Now I always write the exit condition first, but I still get nervous whenever I see `while True:` in anyone else's code. Has anyone else accidentally frozen their machine with an infinite loop?
