I had to pick between learning Python or JavaScript first and I'm still not sure I chose right
I mean, I spent like a whole weekend reading stuff online and asking around. Everyone kept saying Python was easier for a total newbie, but then I saw all these job posts wanting JavaScript. I went with Python because the simple syntax seemed less scary. I've been at it for about 3 months now, using a free course on Codecademy, and I can make little scripts that do math and sort lists. But idk, I look at web stuff and it's all JavaScript, and I feel like I'm learning the wrong thing for what I actually want to do, which is make websites. Maybe it's just me but starting feels like you have to guess the future. Has anyone else picked a first language and then wished they'd started with something different?

Watched my cousin plan a perfect garden shed for months. Bought all the wood, then saw a YouTube video and ripped up his plans to start over. Now he's got a half built shed and a pile of scrap lumber.

My buddy got so into those tiny house shows he bought a plot of land. He spent a whole year just drawing plans for a cabin, changing his mind every week. You ever see someone get stuck in the planning part forever? He finally started building and realized he hated the whole layout.
