Debate: Should beginners start with Python or JavaScript first?
I was at a local coding meetup in Austin last month when a pro developer told me Python is the only way to learn logic properly, but another guy swore JavaScript gets you building stuff faster and keeps you motivated. Both made solid points and now I'm stuck on which path to push my cousin toward since she's starting from zero next week. Has anyone actually switched from one to the other and seen a real difference in how fast they picked up coding?
My cousin started with JavaScript on FreeCodeCamp and gave up after two weeks because she said debugging made her want to throw her laptop out the window. Then she switched to Python and built a little quiz game in three days and that got her hooked enough to go back to JavaScript later lol.
