My solar panels failed during a heatwave last July

I was in Phoenix at my house when the July heatwave hit 115 degrees. My panels just stopped producing power around 2 PM, right when I needed the AC most. Turns out the inverter overheated and shut down to protect itself. I ended up buying a portable generator for backup, but has anyone else dealt with inverters failing in extreme heat?

Did your portable generator end up working okay in that heat too? I remember my swamp cooler gave out during a heatwave in Vegas one time and I spent like three hours trying to fix it with YouTube videos before just giving up.

Yep, everything's breaking in weather it wasn't made for.

Heatwave hit 115 and the inverter just noped out" - yeah that tracks. It's wild how much we rely on tech that wasn't built for the crazy weather we're getting now. Same thing happened to my buddy's EV charger in Austin last summer, just quit mid-charge.
