I chose to replace my gas mower with an electric one this spring, even though it cost $50 more upfront. The quiet is nice, but I'm not sure about the battery life yet.

My neighbor's electric mower died halfway through his lawn last week.

My old corded electric mower would quit every time I hit the extension cord limit. I had to plan my whole mowing route around the outlet. After the third time I tripped the breaker, I gave up and got a gas model. It just starts and goes until the job is done.

But that's why I love my gas mower, never have to worry about running out of juice.
