Hot take: My neighbor was right about ditching gas leaf blowers
Last spring, my neighbor Mark kept telling me to swap my gas leaf blower for an electric one. I thought he was just being preachy about emissions. After 3 weekends of using his old corded model for cleanup, I realized my ears weren't ringing and my garage didn't smell like exhaust. Anyone else had a similar switch that actually worked better than you expected?

My cordless Sun Joe trimmer surprised me too - it actually has more torque than my old gas Stihl and I don't have to mix fuel anymore lol.

Did you read that Consumer Reports piece on battery trimmers last month? @dianal94 they tested the Sun Joe against some big brands and said the torque surprised everyone too. I had the same experience with my Ryobi. Battery tech has come a long way. No more smelly gas or pull cords that hurt your arm. Just charge it up and go.

Bet the neighbors miss hearing you yank that Stihl 50 times before it finally coughed to life. Now they gotta deal with silence and a clean cut, real shame. Battery stuff is getting scary good, my old Homelite felt like a toy next to my buddy's Ego.
