Found out my city's recycling program only actually recycles 2 of the 7 plastics it collects
I was poking around on the Boise public works site last month and found their annual report. Turns out the blue bins take plastics 1 through 7, but only #1 and #2 actually get processed here, the rest gets trucked to a landfill in Caldwell. I've been rinsing yogurt cups and clam shells for 3 years thinking I was helping. Does anyone know if there's a drop off spot in town that takes the other numbers, or am I just wasting my Saturday mornings at this point?
