DAE notice how much food a hotel in Reno throws out at breakfast?
Stayed at a place near the convention center last month and watched them toss a whole tray of eggs and like 30 bagels every single morning. I asked the guy at the front desk and he said it just goes in the dumpster because of health rules, which seems nuts. Has anyone found a way to push back on this at places they stay, or is it just how it is?
Read somewhere that some hotels are now working with apps like Too Good To Go to sell leftover breakfast stuff cheap instead of tossing it. Not sure how many spots in Reno do that yet but it seems like an easy fix. The health rules thing is real though, once food hits the buffet line they can't just box it up for later. Still feels like there has to be a better way than 30 bagels in a dumpster every morning.
