Met a neighbor at the 63rd Street farmers market who changed my whole moving plan

Last Saturday I was grabbing some apples and this older woman named Linda just started talking to me about the neighborhood. She told me about the 55th street rowhomes and how the bus runs every 10 minutes during rush hour. Her tip saved me from signing a lease on a place that would have been a pain to commute from. Anyone else had a random stranger give them the best advice they got?

You said "55th street rowhomes" but that's actually not right. Those are on 54th and Woodland, not 55th. The ones off 55th are mostly duplexes and some newer builds, not the classic rowhomes with the big front porches. I used to live on that block and it's a common mix-up since the street numbering gets weird around there. The bus schedule is solid though, she got that part right. Just wanted to clear that up so nobody goes looking for rowhomes on 55th and gets confused.

Oof, @irismartinez, you nailed it. I used to get so lost around there before I figured out the numbering. Yeah, that whole section near 55th and Woodland is super confusing with the duplexes mixed in. It's a bummer because the real rowhomes with those big porches are so nice. Glad you cleared that up, that's a really helpful heads-up for anyone new to the area.
