I finally found a pizza spot in Logan Square that gets the crust right
After 3 months of trying different places, I stopped into Dante's on Armitage last night and their thin crust was actually crispy all the way through, not soggy in the middle like every other place I have tried, has anyone else had trouble finding decent thin crust on the northwest side?

Oh man, I went through this exact hunt last year in Avondale. Dante's is solid, but if you ever want a change, try Pat's Pizza on Lincoln in the old building. Their thin crust has this 2-day rest on the dough that makes it crackle when you bite. I had the same soggy middle problem at a few spots, and it drove me crazy. Someone tipped me off to ask for your pie "well done" at most places, it helps a ton with that center sogginess issue. Your mileage may vary, but I've been doing that ever since and it saves most thin crusts from getting floppy.

Wait, so Dante's actually is worth the hype then? I almost wrote them off after a bad first impression but maybe I was just hangry that day. The "well done" trick is gold though, I started doing that after my third soggy pie in a row and it's like a cheat code. Pat's sounds dangerous though, I'll have to try it before my cardiologist sends me a sternly worded letter.
