Hot take: I actually like the Loop more since they added all those bike lanes on Clark and Halsted
Five years ago moving downtown felt like a death sentence if you had a car, and now I barely touch mine, which nobody warned me about when I toured places in Lakeview. My commute from my place near Fullerton to my office off LaSalle dropped from 35 minutes stuck on the Brown Line to a 20 minute ride, and that gap is the only reason I signed another lease. For folks who moved here in the past year, did the bike lanes actually factor into where you picked, or did you just eat the transit time?
