Friends cut me off when I found a place in Logan Square for $950

I told my crew I was moving to Logan Square and they all laughed at me for being basic. A buddy actually said Logan Square is where people go when they can't pick a personality. I took it to heart and started looking at Pilsen and Bridgeport instead. Found a solid 1-bedroom near 18th Street with heat included for $1100. Has anyone else had people trash their neighborhood choice and second guess everything?

Used to be one of those people who rolled their eyes at Logan Square, not gonna lie. Thought it was overhyped and full of people trying too hard. Then I crashed at my cousin's place off Milwaukee for a few weeks and totally got it. The coffee shop on my corner had a dog park out back and the guy at the bodega remembered my order after three days. That $950 rent is insane, by the way. Would've jumped on that in a heartbeat.

Oh absolutely, @ellis.mia, that "guy at the bodega remembered my order after three days" bit is the REAL hook. That's like some sitcom-level customer service magic. I've been in my neighborhood for TWO years and the guy at the corner store still looks at me like I'm a stranger trying to return a used tire. Honestly though, $950 rent for Logan Square is practically a FOSSIL at this point. You'd have better luck finding a unicorn with a rent-controlled lease.
