Found a way to beat the winter parking spot game in Logan Square

Moved to Logan Square back in November and spent a month digging my car out of spots only to lose them. Then I noticed my neighbor marking his spot with a lawn chair after he cleared it. Tried it myself and it's been working ever since. Anyone else in Chicago using the chair trick or do you have a better method for saving your spot?

WAIT someone actually left you a passive aggressive note about it??? That is wild to me. I thought the chair thing was like an unspoken rule here, nobody messes with a marked spot. But a note on your windshield? That feels next level petty, like they had to get out of their car just to write it and tape it on there. I'd be so mad I'd probably start putting a chair AND a traffic cone out just out of spite. Honestly I think your neighbors must be super cranky or something, because most people here just roll with it. Mine even helped me shovel a better spot after I put the chair out.

Call dibs with a lawn chair? That's like bringing a water gun to a snowball fight but hey, it's working for you so maybe I'm the sucker here. I tried the same thing last year and woke up to my chair tossed into a snowbank with a passive-aggressive note taped to my windshield. Kind of makes me wonder if your neighbors are just nicer or if they're all too cold to start a war over a parking spot (probably the latter, honestly).

Yeah @henderson.vera maybe your note scared the chair away, my neighbors just ignore mine completely.
